Homesteading WITHOUT Going Broke

How do you do it? Great question.

While we may not have all the answers..

We sure have learned A LOT!

First we regularly make a list of projects. If you don't already have a notepad and pen, get them! Who am I kidding...Get several.

After Making the project list:

-Take each project and individually write them on their own pages\

-Write the budget at the top of each page

- Break down every part, supplies, tools you will need

- Write down a time frame as to when to complete them by

Here is a sample below.

And the break down:

Taking these steps will help out, I PROMISE

Especially when you are a bargain shopper like we both are.

So, now that you have your lists ready for your project, you can search for materials and tools needed for them.

We like to use market place through Facebook. You can find great local deals.

Please always be careful when dealing with any social media!!!

Not only have we found several items for way less but we have found many free items that people are just willing to give or throw away.

That is like Gold to us.

One person's trash is truly another's treasure.

See this is the thing with homesteading...at least one person still has to have a full time job, if not both. Unless you are lucky enough to inherit land from your parents or have your house and vehicles paid off.

So in return you have to be able to be frugal, imaginative, and make a buck stretch.

Think about what you need to become self-sustainable.

-Livestock

-Livestock Corals/Housing

-Veggies/Fruits

-Meat

-Storage

-Farm Equipment

-Tools

Anytime you can find any of this lower than retail, you are doing great!

Just remember other people may not see your vision or understand your budget when it comes to homesteading.

However. that is how you make life changes and accomplish YOUR DREAMS...By setting up your own goals and own budget and marking projects off of your list!

What projects will you start this week?......Wilson Wonders
